    How long does it take in Caribbean to complete vet school

    A veterinarian is a physician for animal healthcare. These are highly qualified and experienced professionals who practice medicine for curing, alleviating, and preventing diseases and illnesses in our animal friends.     Caribbean vet schools are a great alternative for an education of veterinary medicine. And unlike most medical schools in the U.S. and Canada, vet schools in the Caribbean do not follow a once a year admission protocol. They have rolling admissions where qualified good candidates may secure a chance to pursue their medical dreams. The DVM programs of Caribbean vet schools are of internationally recognized standards and qualities where only highly educated practitioners and academics teach the students.

    How Long Does It Take To Study Veterinary Medicine In The Caribbean?

    Generally, it takes years of studying and training in veterinary schools which include 8 to 10 years of education from the time of high school to the time they become licensed physicians. Students are required to complete an undergraduate program of 4 years after which an additional 4 years of schooling to qualify as a Doctor of Veterinary medicine or DVM to earn their licensure for practicing in the state they are residing in. There are also specializations within DVM programs like cardiology, surgery, neurology etc. For such specialized programs students go through another two more years of training.
