Luka Modrić Early life
Luka Modric was born in September 1985 and was born in the village of Luka Modric, a part of Zaton Obrovacki, a village on the southern side of Velebit Mountain, north of SR’s headquarters Croatia. SFR is a republic of Yugoslavia.
He is the oldest child of Stipe Luka Modric and Radojka Dopud of Modric from Kruševo, near Odrovac, Both worked primarily in knitwear factories. Luka Modric spent most of his early life at his grandfather’s house, named after him. And Pasture the goat as a five-year-old kid.
However, his childhood coincided with the Croatian independence war – in 1991, when the war escalated, his family forced to flee the area.
Modric’s grandfather, Luka, executed by all the Serb rebels who members of the SAO Krajina police station near his home in Luka Modric in December 1991. And after the family escaped, the house burned to the ground.
Luka Modric became a refugee and stayed with his family for seven years at Hotel Kolovare. Later, he returned to hotel Iž in Zadar. Modric’s father joined the Croatian army as an aeromechanic.
During these years, thousands of bombs fell on the city, and football was a way to escape the reality of war. He remembers it as a difficult time for his family and something that shaped him as a person.
Luka Modric also says that he is mostly unknown to the war because he befriended many other children and their parents did not allow it to affect their childhood. In this difficult situation, Modric started playing football in most hotel parking lots.
In 1992, he entered elementary school and a sports academy at the same time. Later paying for the little money the family had paid, sometimes helped by Modric’s uncle. As a boy, he motivated to play football by Francesco Totti and Zvonimir Boban.
Luka Modric Club Career
Dinamo Zagreb (2003–2008)
Tomislav Basic, Modric’s sporting father, helped him secure a place at Dinamo Zagreb in 2001 before edited by Jinzewski Mostar in the Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Young Modric had a great performance that earned him 18 years of age.

He was named in the second team of the national team to play for Zapresic. In 2004, Modric won the Croatian Football Hap of the Year Award.
In 2005 he returned to Zagreb in Dinamo. Modric, who signed a ten-year contract with Dinamo Zagreb during the 2005-2006 season, marks his first long-term contract. Modric helped win the Zagreb League title in his first season.
The following season, he achieved similar fame. Modric won the Prova HNL Player for his contribution. In his fourth year with Zagreb, they won the Croatian Cup, which made him decide to stay with Zagreb a little longer than Barcelona’s Arsenal and Chelsea nuts.
Tottenham Hotspur (2008–2012)
In April 2008, Modric moved to Tottenham Hotspur. Modric signed a six-year contract. He made his debut for the Spurs in August against Middlesbrough.
Modric identified as a lightweight by critics, including former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger in the Premier League. His problem was further compounded by knee injury. New Sports boss Harry Redknapp saw his potential and thus changed his role in midfield which allowed him to control the team’s play.
Modric registered his first Premier League appearance in December 2008 against Newcastle United. In August 2009, he suffered a calf injury against Birmingham City, which expelled him for six weeks. He returned to action again in December of the same year.
In May 2010, Modric signed a new contract with the Spurs, which expires in 2016. Modric was a key figure for the Spurs UEFA Champions League qualification. After playing 32 Premier League matches, Modric named the Tottenham Hotspur FCC Player of the Year. Modric was heavily pursued in a failed bid for Chelsea.
Real Madrid (2012–present)
During the 2012-2013 season, Modric signed a five-year contract with Spanish giants Real Madrid with a transfer fee of £ 5 million. Luka Modric two days later replaced Mesut Ozil in the second leg of the 2012 Supercopa final against rival Barcelona.
Madrid were the winners, giving Madrid his first trophy with just 36 cups after being transferred from the Spurs. With the presence of veteran midfielders Jabi Alonso and Sami Khedira. As well as Mesut Ozil, Modrich has not been in the starting lineup for Madrid in his debut season.
With the arrival of Carlo Anjelotti in the 2013-2014 season, Modric started appearing in the starting lineups. After a successful run in the UEFA Champions League, Modric included in the UEFA Team of the Week for the semifinal finals of the two-leg season.
Madrid overcame Spain’s rival Atletico Madrid, claiming their first tenth Champions League title for Madrid. Modric included in the UEFA team of the season and earned LFP awards for the best midfielder.
Modric signed an agreement with Real Madrid in November 2014 to expire. With the departure of Jabi Alonso, Tony Crews tied the knot with Modric at midfield. Madrid started their campaign by winning the UEFA Super Cup. Modric was out for three months due to a long thigh injury on international duty.
At the end of the 2014-2015 season
Modric included in FIFA World XI. The arrival of new directors Rafael Benitez and Zinedine Zidane continues to be an influential figure in Madrid’s play. Modrich was one of the leading men in Champions League victories for Madrid.
He included in the Champions League and La Liga teams of the season. He included in the FIFA World XI and the UEFA Team of
the Year.
Modric went on to sign a new contract with Madrid in October 2016, which set to expire in 2020. He won the FIFA Club World Cup in
2016 after recovering from a knee injury. He was also an influential figure in Madrid’s 2016-2017 La Liga and Champions League victories.
Luka Modric awarded the UEFA Club Football Award for the best midfielder. He was fourth in the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year award and fifth in the 2017 Ballon d’Or. He has been chosen for the third FIFA World Eleven.
In the 2017-018 season, Modric started the No. 10 jersey decorating. He claimed the 2017 FIFA Cup World Cup with Madrid with the Golden Boot award. Real Madrid continues their UEFA Champions League win, claiming the title for the third time.
Modric selected for the UEFA Champions League squad for the third time of the season and also received the UEFA Club Football Award for the best midfielder. He was included in the FIFA World XI for the fourth time.
Modric helped the Croatian national team to a World Cup final after losing to France. He was given the gold boot of the tournament. He also won the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year Award and Best FIFA Men’s Player of the Year. Breaking the decade-long duality between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Luka Modric National Team Career
Modric started appearing for the Croatian national team at the age of 15. He appeared in the 2006 World Cup, the 2008 Euro, the 2012 Euro, the 2014 World Cup, the 2016 Euro and the 2018 World Cup.
