    Table of Contents

    • Masjid-E-Haram (The Sacred House Of Allah):
    • Cave Of Hira (The Place Of 1st Revelation):
    • Mount Of Mercy (The Place Where People Will Be Brought Back To Life):
    • Jabal-E-Thawr:
    • Birthplace Of Our Beloved Prophet (ﷺ):

Masjid-E-Haram (The Sacred House Of Allah):

Masjid-E-Haram is the world’s largest and sacred mosque and also the focal point of the annual Hajj: It was built around the Holy Kabah, an ancient sanctuary that Muslims face while praying. The mosque is large enough to accommodate up to 4 million people and is an elegant structure that draws many visitors to pause and gaze in wonder. You will visit this Grand Mosque and Holy Kabah as a part of your Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage, it also attracts many business owners and other visitors.

During the Hajj season, the Grand Mosque is intensely crowded during daytime hours. It takes hours to go inside to pray or worship, and it’s difficult to find quiet time for self-reflection. You will have a better and different experience if you go after dark because there will be fewer people attending at that time.

Cave Of Hira (The Place Of 1st Revelation):

Hira is the Sanctified cave where Allah Almighty’s 1st revelation to Prophet Mohammed (ﷺ) was received. To get to the cave, you must climb up the mountain, and even physically fit people will find the journey difficult due to the dry desert climate. The majority of people can climb to the top in 3 hours or less, and their reward is amazing views of the city of Makkah. If you decide to go on the hike, remember to pack water and possibly some fruits or nuts for keeping your body hydrated and energetic. Prepare to go at a leisurely pace and to spend quality time worshiping and praising Allah after you reach the top.

Mount Of Mercy (The Place Where People Will Be Brought Back To Life):

Mount Arafat, also referred to as “The Mount of Mercy”, is a hill located just east of Makkah. This is the site where the Messenger Of Allah (ﷺ) has delivered his last sermon. For many Hajj travelers, this is amongst the most spiritually fulfilling events. This is the place where we will all be brought back to life. It takes a lot of energy to walk up the mountain to see this religious site. Make sure you’re staying hydrated and giving yourself more than enough rest time. Even if you’re not on a spiritual pilgrimage, this is a wonderful place to visit and pray.

    Jabal-E-Thawr:

This 4,610-foot mountain holds a cave where Prophet Mohammad (ﷺ) hid for 3 days. Many Makkah visitors climb this mountain to see the cave and enjoy the beauty of Saudi Arabia’s landscape. You will have a better appreciation of this cave and your journey to the peak of the mountain if you read the story in the Holy Quran.

Birthplace Of Our Beloved Prophet (ﷺ):

As it enables visitors to see the place where Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was born, it is one of the more emotional attractions in Makkah. You can communicate with other visitors and know much more about the early life of Islam’s most adored Prophet by visiting the library and also a museum that presently exists at that place. This is an excellent place for knowing more about the history of Islam.

While it may be tempting to take photographs of Makkah’s magnificent sights, avoid the temptation. There are just a few places in Makkah where taking pictures is permissible, and if you’re caught, you could face serious criminal penalties. Consider this your chance to disconnect from the modern world and concentrate on spiritual enlightenment or quality time with family and loved ones.
